Don’t miss this opportunity to own an extremely rare Lyman Sleeper Hardtop with sliding sunroof.  Only 429 Hardtops produced and even fewer have the sliding sunroof.  Cabin sleep 2 adults comfortably and has vented glass porthole.  Handcrafted by Lyman Boat Works in Ohio, sold new on Lake George now with its third owner.  Full restoration performed 2015 to 2017 consuming over 1,500 labor hours. No expense spared on materials and hardware.  Only 155 hours since the restoration was finished, the Lyman is essentially brand new.  It has always been boathouse kept.  This Hardtop is truly an outstanding family boat.  Comfortable in all weather, it really stretches the Northeast boating season.

1962 Lyman 24’ Sleeper Hardtop, Hull Serial #H1327

 

Extremely rare Lyman Sleeper Hardtop with sliding sunroof.  The hull prefix "H" for hardtop, were produced and very few with the sunroof panel option.  Other original features include an integrated Mahogany swim ladder, remote searchlight and dual air horns.  Full venting front windows with wiper on driver side.  Cabin sleeps two adults comfortably and has venting glass porthole.

Handcrafted by Lyman Boat Works in Sandusky, OH and sold new on Lake George, NY.  We are the third owner.  Full restoration from 2015-2017.  Approximately 1,500 hours of labor.  No expense spared on materials and hardware.

The boat was completely disassembled and any rotted stringers, frames, beams or lapstrake planks were replaced.  Bilge painted correct Lyman Sand Tan.  The original plywood Mahogany veneer decks and gunwales were replaced with solid Honduras Mahogany planks.  The interior was finished with Mahogany veneer coaming boards and the Nautilex flooring was replaced.  Hull painted with Pettit Copper Bronze and Interlux Brightside paints (Flag Blue / Blue Glo White).  New hull tags installed.

Every chrome part was disassembled and re-plated, all original to the boat.  They show as new.  All gauges and switches are original.

Custom made upholstery for all seating, V-berth and engine cover.

Mercury Marine MerCruiser 5.7L 260HP with Multi-Port Injection fuel system.  285 hours on the engine and 1,144 total hours on the hull.  Borg Warner Velvet Drive transmission.  New S&S Propeller three blade, brass propeller.  Adjustable trim tabs.  The original fuel tank was reconditioned and holds 60 gallons.

The boat was completely rewired during the restoration.  12 V electrical system with 2 batteries and 3 way electrical switch.  New bilge pump.

Custom made Mahogany stern flag pole with light.  Courtesy lighting (dimmable) throughout cockpit.  USB charging port.

For the 2022 season, the hull sides and bottom were re-painted.  The transom was stripped and re-varnished and the waterline painted.  

Currently not working: air horns, tachometer and oil pressure gauge.

Boat comes ready to go with all lines, anchor, fenders, etc.  Original side curtains included, but not installed.  

With only 155 hours since the complete restoration was finished, the Lyman is essentially brand new.  It has always been boathouse kept.  This Hardtop is truly an outstanding family boat.  Comfortable in all weather, it really stretches the boating season!
